I needed a company who could provide a full service experience as I would not yet be in the area when the work needed to be done. Monica from Shumba Floors went above and beyond to pickup up the flooring from the supplier, ensure the crews had access to he house, and provided updates via phone, text, and video. This is an updated review, I am a repeat customer for Shumba floors, they placed my original hardwood floors and were exceptional. This time I hired them to remove all the old tile from the first floor, replace the floor and remove the old stair bannisters. They were able to color match the bannisters and new flooring perfectly. Would highly recommend for any projects!Shumba floors was exceptional. Monica, was very responsive to all my requests and kept me updated. We refinished our old wood floors and installed new wood floors where carpet had previously been. The floors are absolutely seamless and appear as if they were all installed brand new at one time. I had my floors redone while living out of town and the work was completed as if I was present every day. She was professional and on time. We plan to have her redo our stairs and railings in the future. Would highly recommend.
Monica, Rafael, and the team did an amazing job on our old wood floors. We live in a 120 year old row home in Baltimore and our floors were in pretty rough shape. The floors had a lot of broken/loose boards, some areas were covered in carpeting and also painted, and the boards ranged in width from 3 to 5 inches. So this was not an easy project. But gratefully, Monica and the team took it on and we are so happy with how the floors turned out. Other companies tried to convince us to replace the flooring, and that may be a good option for some people, but we really enjoy the historic character of the century-old flooring and wanted to keep it. I don't think you'll find another company in the Baltimore area that does as good of work to restore old floors. Not only did they do a great job, but Monica is extremely responsive. We had a million questions and she answered each and every one. We also asked them to come back to fix a couple of spots and they did so right away. Monica genuinely wants customers to be happy, and it shows. We are very happy customers and will always recommend people go with Shumba floors!
