The FCI team did a great job with the runner for our stairs, even taking the time to do some complex corners. Their communication was great throughout the process. We got excellent service and workmanship and very happy with the results.
We wanted to turn our spare bedroom into a workout room. We wanted gym type flooring (rubber type material) for the treadmill we were buying. Jessie came out and brought us several great options. She was professional and super knowledgeable. We had planned to get a few estimates but after meeting Jessie we were sold. The flooring went in and it looks amazing. Even the treadmill set up guys were impressed. We will totally recommend this company and/or use them again for any flooring needs we may have. I’m including a photo and you can see what an amazing job they did! We now have a well balanced treadmill as well as a perfect yoga space!
Jessie was great to work with during the design phase. She helped us think through options, made thoughtful recommendations, and ensured everything was well planned before work began, which made a big difference.Once the project moved into execution, Chuck and his team were incredibly helpful. The flooring and stair work was done with care and attention to detail, especially on the stairs where precision really matters. Communication was clear, timelines were respected, and the space was kept as clean as possible throughout the process. It was clear there was strong coordination between design and execution, and the end result reflects that. I would absolutely recommend this team to anyone looking for quality flooring and stair work done right.
Working with FCI was a great experience all around. I booked a consultation on Thursday and Jesse was able to come by the following day, we picked out samples and they were ordered when she went back to the office. Everyone was on-time, friendly, and the price was fair. I wanted to work with a local installation company (not a Lowe's or Home Depot) and this was a great choice. FCI also helped me with an itemized invoice that I needed post-project for insurance purposes which was a nice touch. Everyone I interacted with from start to finish was helpful and polite, I would definitely recommend this company.
Update: I changed my rating from two to four stars primarily due to the owner's (Brian Pokorny) personal involvement and commitment to make things right, and his flexibility in making our schedules work. Yesterday his crew and manager arrived and installed a brand new carpet for one of the bedrooms with a noticeable seam. The installers were true professionals. If you purchase carpeting for installation from this company, I encourage you to loop him in early on and keep him apprised of your work.Contracted with this company to recarpet two bedrooms in a newly purchased condo after being repeatedly contacted by Mr. Pokorny, (who evidently actively follows Angi to see who is looking for services.) The sales rep was extremely helpful and assured me the carpet would be available for the proposed Jul 28 (Monday) install. I called on Jul 25 to confirm after not hearing from them. Was told the carpet was "in the city but not in the warehouse." We agreed on a Jul 31 install after assurances that everything would be good to go. Workers were to arrive between 8:30 and 10.At 9:30 I received a call that "the truck had broken down." At 11:00, two workers showed up with the carpet but not all the tools needed to professionally install carpet. They joked about my job being dropped from the schedule. They asked me to go buy them lunch (which I did) and finished about 3:30. I've attached pictures of a noticeable seam in one of the bedrooms. On August 21st, they sent out another installer to fix the seam. He arrived at 8:30 and "had to go" about 11:30. The seam actually was worse when he was finished. Before he left though, he asked for my phone number "in case I ever just wanted to talk sometime." The supervisor (?) came in a bit later, looked at the work, and simply said, "we will do whatever it takes to make this right." That was over a week ago, and I've heard nothing since.Initially, Mr. Pokerny expressed what I believed to be genuine concern for the lack of basic customer service I received and the "misleading" information. He took about 5% off my bill.I honestly don't know how this company continues to exist and I'm curious about only 5-star Google reviews. (I relied on these reviews when I chose the company.) Maybe I don't warrant the same level of customer service others have apparently received because I am a female senior citizen. I sincerely hope this isn't the case.
