Be aware: Ritchie’s uses third-party installers, which can result in inconsistent quality .. our experience reflects this.We hired Ritchie’s to replace the flooring on our upper level before moving in to our new house. The space was empty, stripped down to the subfloor, and ready for installation. Soon after the LVP was installed, we noticed movement in the floor and very noticeable dips in certain areas. After contacting Ritchie’s, they sent someone to assess the issue. It was determined that the installers had not levelled the floor at all. We were initially surprised when they sent us a quote to revise the work, but after some discussion, Ritchie’s agreed to cover the cost, which we appreciated.Keep in mind, we had to disassemble our furniture and move it out for this repair to happen ..When the installers returned this week, they initially downplayed the problem and tried to discourage us from moving forward with the repair. They finished the work today, but unfortunately, we cannot give 5 stars. They left a dent in a freshly painted wall, pencil markings on all the planks from when the floor was removed and they were trying to keep track of where each plank went, and visible glue seeping through some seams.Overall, while the flooring is better now (although not 100%) the installation quality and care were lacking.. We’ll be looking elsewhere for our main level flooring needs.
Terrible experience overall. Butchered the tile job, leaving cracked tile in our bathroom and unfinished sections of grout. Every time I had to explain what we wanted/needed from our floors I had to explain multiple times and they still had to delay and call to clarify. Poor communication, poor job, very very disappointed. I also very clearly asked to have tile done diagonally and they increased the price to accommodate for extra tiles needed, then did not lay it diagonally because the worker “didn’t think it would look good”.
Ritchie's Flooring was great! From the very beginning with Fiona helping me choose my floor to Jason doing the install. The follow up and customer service is commendable. I would highly recommend them to anyone!
Cathy was SO easy to deal with and understood exactly what I was looking for, and made it happen. Even when our contractor underestimated how much we needed, Cathy quickly ordered more for me, and had it sent from out of province quickly. Quality product and fair price! We will return for our next project!
I have received exceptional service from Ritchie’s during our home renovation. Jason Locke was very helpful and always very professional. He was interested in having me as a client and always took the time to respond to my many needs and trust me there were many. I was very pleased with the quality of the products and the installation of both my hardwood flooring and backsplash. I would highly recommend Ritchie’s to anyone that is looking for great service and quality products.
