Great prices. Needs more choices for back splashes.
I love going here. You have to check regularly as item sell out fast. There are some items they keep in stock and reorder so ask about those. Then there are others that are a 1 and done. Once they sell out of it they're done.
Great prices. Helpful without being over your shoulder the whole time. Tommy was friendly and super easy to work with on a return.
Have purchased hundreds of sq ft of tile from this location. The selection is hit or miss but the price is tough to beat. They used to have a friendly guy who worked there for years but left due to mistreatment. The current worker/salesperson isn't nearly as helpful or knowledgeable (also doesn't let you take or even purchase a single sample tile) which I continue to find ridiculous....Great for a DIYer or someone who knows what they're doing but not great if you need installation assistance/advice.
We had a hit and miss experience with this place. We came in multiple times to match flooring with the spaces we wanted to have completed. We were given the name of an installer (Ronald) who was their best installer. We were told 1700.00 for the install and he would pick up the materials and deliver it the day of the install. My wife was finally happy with a flooring type. We purchased all the flooring needed and let the installer know a week in advance. That weekend (he was suppose to start the job on July 8th) I had text him to ask what time we should expect him. He told us at that time, he wasn't going to make it he was out of town. That instead it would be 830 am on Tuesday. We had other installs scheduled in the house in those rooms after the floors went in. (Bathroom vanity and new toilets). We had those scheduled for Tuesday as the flooring was suppose to be installed.Tuesday morning at 8:45 we received a call from Ronald at the store that we needed to either reschedule our install or we needed to pick different flooring. When we asked why? He told us the flooring needed to be "acclimated* but all weekend long he didn't mention this a single time. When we purchased from the store they didn't say it needed to be acclimated either.I had to drive up to Factory Surplus and change our plans the day of install. When I got back to the house Ronald had left someone in my home and had left to go back to his house in Grandview. (Were in parkville). He said he would stop by and pick up the new flooring on his way back.We later learned why he wasn't in a rush. But then he calls me again on his way back and tells me he needs Thinset. Quarter round and other items to do the installation. He never spoke of any of this before. We assumed it was part of the $1700.00 install charge. (We also didn't receive an itemized list for charges with his install, huge red flag for anyone planning an install.) That was an extra 450.00 in charges we weren't expecting not to mention he didn't even finish the quarter round. We have gaps all over the room. After day 1. We had no new bedroom floor. We had tile placed and saw the main installer maybe an hour. (Factory Surplus told us RONALD would be doing our install. This is important because of the result.)I took pictures of our sub floor and asked questions after day 1. I was told to buy kills and cover it up. Nothing about it not being level. None of that was brought up before they left. I was told the sub floor had no issues.Fast forward to the end of day 2 when my installers arrived to do the bathroom vanity and toilet. My bathroom cost EXTRA because they installed the tile but didn't level it. We have dips in the bedroom because they didn't level the floor. We asked if we needed to buy an underlayment for it and we were told no it had its own. The bedroom floor is so uneven a marble will roll endlessly.Factory Surplus had a great selection of what we wanted. Unfortunately this installer who was apparently their best.... came up short in our eyes. Now we're going to have to pay someone to come in and break up the tile. Level the floor in bathroom and pull up the planks and level the bedroom.Buy from the store. Skip using their installers.
