Reviews are mixed. Several customers mention helpful staff and clear pricing while selecting samples. Others report concerns with installation quality and post-install follow-up or response times. Some issues were later addressed, but experiences vary across projects.
*update 2 - the owner has replied to my review; 8 months later. At best, that’s embarrassingly poor customer service, at worst it shows how little they care about their customers after they’ve been paid.Anyone looking at this store should really read the reviews; look for the ones that began positively - when the customer 1st made their purchase to the edit by the same customers after the flooring has been installed. Lots of issues, makes you wonder if all the other positive reviews may not have been so if clients waited a few months after purchase.*Update - the flooring we purchased that was sold to us as”luxury vinyl plank, extremely durable” etc. is not durable at all, can’t even slide a chair with added felt floor protectors on the legs without scuffing or scratching it. Worst sales experience and product.*Awful experienceI went to London Flooring for new flooring in late February and found 2 different colours to choose from.We spoke about price and the salesperson offered me a lower price based on size of my order, which I accepted. After choosing the colour, I went back to place the order and pay for the deal I was offered. I was told by the same salesperson that “ the owner said he can’t go that low”. Final cost was a difference of less than $100 total and I really liked the flooring so I chose to purchase anyway.Picked up the flooring at the warehouse over 35 mins away from my work (they close at 4 so I had to take 1.5 hours off work just to pick it up). I also purchased tracks and caps for the room transitions.I was given the tracks at the warehouse and told the caps were at LF’s supplier around the corner, I’d have to go there and pick those up but they’d be waiting for me, so that was not an issue for me at all.I waited over 40 mins while the supplier tried to figure out what to do and what to give me, they finally told me they couldn’t give me anything (even though I’d paid for the e-caps at the LF warehouse and showed them my receiptt as proof of what I’d ordered) and “LF would have to work this out themselves and let me know”.Vinyl flooring I received had flaws to it. There were green and white splotches all over a significant number of the boards (about 2 boxes) and some also were scratched in the packaging. At first I thought the splotches were just dust or dirt but they were under the outer layers, possibly printed in to the image.I ended up with many unusable boards. The manufacturer rep agreed to replace them but I would have to take more time off work and drive out of town to LF’s warehouse to pick them up again. In the end I had ordered more than enough flooring for the job and I didn’t want to take more PTO to drive to the warehouse in south London again, so I decided I’d just eat the cost of 2 boxes of defective boards rather than waste the cost of time and gas. No offer was made to even have the boards delivered to the LF near my address, the salesmen knows I am less than 10 minutes from the retail shop where he works.I finally received the caps, my installer had a few questions related to the fit. I tried calling LF and left messages over 3 days, that were not returned. I finally got a call back after my 3rd voicemail.I had another question later that same day, I needed some more materials for the install, I left a message which again went in-returned, (as I’m writing this review it’s been 8 days since my the last message I left), I just went to Rona instead of calling again.I had a very poor experience with the customer service and things I was told that were never fulfilled, leading me to distrust London Flooring. Unfortunately I have 2 unused, 12 foot tracks, as well as 3 boxes of un-opened boards and 2 boxes worth of defective boards that I am now eating the whole cost for.I will never purchase from London Flooring again, and cannot recommend them to anyone. I should have read all the reviews and gone with a store that has better rating.
The lady who helped me knew what she was talking about and showed me many options while also basically giving me the prices while I picked samples out - which helped in narrowing down our search. The selection is pretty good.
Broke the water line to my fridge and flooded my basement, didn't properly seat a bunch of the laminate floor either so we have gaps and laminate floor that's shifting out of place. They also didn't finish the trim going into the basement, just left green tape and called it a day.
I changed my rating from one to five stars since they followed up with me right after addressing the issue that I had with the installation service. They made it up for me and I am so happy with their service now. When they contacted me, they were so kind, friendly, and professional. We are so happy that we reached out to them at first. We will definitely continue shopping from them, especially that we are planning to do flooring for the entire house. Thank you for your great service!
Helpful staff. Amazing knowledge of flooring. I wasn't looking for carpet but they only charge less than $90/room for basic install!!
