Avoid this location if you’re driving a sleeper truck with a 53’ trailer.Access depends entirely on whether random parked vehicles are moved, which is beyond anyone’s control. The broker will not assist and will aggressively pressure the driver to proceed regardless. The facility staff cannot move even their own trucks from the docks, let alone any others. The dock is not built for a 53’ trailer — the trailer lands on the landing gear and can only be backed in if you place boards under the wheels. If someone tells you otherwise, they are lying. Refuse this load. It’s better to lose a job than to lose your CDL.
Great service. Wonderful selection. Saved money and enjoyed my experience.
Truckers be alert and plan your route in.I’m giving 5 stars simply because the people were nice and helped me remove and roll my tarps and I observed their interactions with customers and it seemed like a good place. But… If you’re driving in a sleeper truck (with or without a long wheelbase) with a 48’ flatbed trying to deliver here I urge you to think about your route.I came off Bloomfield turning right onto N 4th St and then right onto Berkeley Ave. The way people park in this residential neighborhood made the right turn onto Berkeley very sketchy. I had to back up after attempting the corner in hopes of repositioning my trailer to clear the car parked on the corner. A guy in a straight box truck stopped to help me. The second try after the repositioning barely made it. And there is a whole lot more traffic down Berkeley and onto 3rd than I had expected.I told my dispatcher that I’d deliver there again but the broker is going to have to pay a lot more. And if I did go there again I’d try a different route in. But it looks like choices are limited.Anyway, they had to unload me double parked out in the street. Good people. Just a bad location for big trucks to deliver.
