Old Port Specialty Tile has a great selection of tiles, including many that you don’t see in other tile shops. We initially bought small glass tiles for our two shower floors and had them installed about five years ago.

Unfortunately, some of the tiles started popping out about 18 months ago. It turns out that, even though the manufacturer of these tiles didn’t acknowledge it, they weren’t suited for floor application. But, not to worry, Old Port Tile let us choose replacement tiles and installed them at no charge. That’s what I call exceptional customer service.

We just had our new floors installed, and they look great. I’m so pleased I selected Old Port Specialty Tile for our project and would not hesitate to use them again or recommend them to our friends.

Poor customer service. It was my second visit to the store to return some tile samples. I planned to look around at more choices and hopefully make a decision and get price quotes for a kitchen backsplash. I browsed for 15-20 min with no offers from an employee to assist me. I finally went to the area near the checkout where at least 5 employees were sitting on their computers and asked if someone was available to help. They basically all looked at each other saying nothing, then a gentleman finally got up to help. He answered a few questions for me, but clearly had an attitude of being put out. I left without making any decision other than taking my business elsewhere.

Poor service, bad attitude and clearly was busy and pushed us harder out the door when they heard we were DYI the job. When in store we were rushed out with samples and left a list of questions with contact info. Over a month later and no response from the store. Since then we found other alternatives online who send samples and ship tile for free. Still holding Old Ports samples hostage until they do their job and call me back. I love in person shopping for this kind of stuff but service like this makes me go more online. The store did have lots of different samples a bunch of very unique tile but have no idea on prices because they never answered me back and prices are not advertised without talking to overworked employees.

I just wanted to follow up to let you know how much we love our new kitchen floors! When our plan to use the old original hardwoods didn’t work out I was pretty disappointed but it was all meant to be, because I can’t imagine loving another look more. Also, our installer rocked! As you assured me, my crazy old floors evened out beautifully with the special underlayment. Also - we were unable to move the radiator and I can not believe how clean and seamless the tile work is around the radiator feet! It really looks like it was placed down on the tile afterwards. Our installer was kind, reassuring, professional, and tidy. But above that SKILLED :) I am also thankful for your help and knowledge in the store and at the onsite measure. Older homes come with their baggage and so often on home projects contractors make me feel like even small tasks are going to be complicated. I can’t tell you how nice it was when I would explain an existing issue and you so calmly and confidently had a sound solution. Taken care of just like that. That feeling might have been as good as seeing my new floors. Seriously. Thanks for the great work all around!
