Recent reviews are mixed, with some customers praising appearance and color selection while others report concerns about finish durability, edge chipping, and denting under everyday use. Several comments mention humidity requirements and care guidelines affecting performance. There are also notes on communication during warranty or claim discussions, with experiences varying by customer and dealer. Prospective buyers often emphasize reviewing maintenance instructions and confirming expectations with the retailer before purchase.
This is horrible flooring that we had installed last year. The finish is not durable, the edges chip and it is quite a disappointment. We had our entire main level re-done last year. We recognized immediately after installation that in some areas the finish was separating from the wood, it was flaking off. Preverco came and told us that our house wasn’t humid enough. So our dealer helped us repair the floor and we bought a humidifier to ensure this didn’t continue. The peeling and chipping continues. We are two seniors with a dog with low activity. This was maple flooring that we were hoping to last for a long time. Very disappointed!
I had Preverco flooring installed in my house less than a year. The quality just isn’t there….the floor dents real easy. The plank corners tend to splinter on the edges on some of the planks. I Definitely would not wear any type of heel inside the house. In fact, my family or guest take off their shoes before entering the house. This flooring is pretty but is a problem if you want to entertain (floor dents too easy). Overall I wish I knew the flooring dents easy so I could have selected a different floor as I love to entertain. I hate asking someone to take off their shoes every time because of denting factor
Avoid: Looks nice in store - Unbearable to live with*Beau en magasin, invivable au quotidien*I've waited 5 months since the installation of this floor to give it a fair chance. But this is by far the worst flooring I've lived with and otherwise experienced in my life, and I need to warn potential clients.I bought engineered wood from Preverco this summer to redo my floors. I wanted to go with a Canadian (Quebec local) brand, and I wanted something sturdy, so I was advised to go with their maple line. I got the installation done by professional contractors, who did an excellent job.First, at the time of purchase, I was not told by the supplier that this flooring required double-gluing/back-buttering. The instructions came with delivery, but I wasn't informed prior, so that was about $2400 worth of (expensive) glue + additional labour that I needed to account for. Believe it or not, that's an issue I'm ready to forget. Beware of this additional cost anyway. My partner and I are careful and clean with our things, and we don't have kids. There is no commotion in our house that A. would generate premature wear and tear and B. could significantly make our house overly dirty. And yet, ***here is a list of issues***: 1. the edges of the planks are already chipping, we don't even know why 2. if you so much as roll something on these floors (with wheels, we're not dragging anything), it will take a layer off the finish, and you're left with a different wood colour underneath 3. If you drop something, even if light in weight and plastic? Your floors are nicked or worse, literally dented (attached picture showing huge dents from accidentally dropping my handheld plastic vacuum cleaner base about 10 cm from the floor only, which we tried to fill) 4. If god forbid you drop a piece of food? It'll stain it. Good luck getting that colour out. 5. CLEANING: you cannot clean with a swiffer wet jet, or any other usual cleaner - you have to use a particular cleaner that is recommended to avoid potential stripping. It needs to be so soft and non-abrasive that the company sells its own cleaner (some flooring stores have their own brand that can be compatible with Preverco floors too). But here is the thing: 6. While they tell you to use a microfiber mop, the issue is that when you pass the mop, you're not applying sufficient pressure from above in order to clean the surfaces. Everything sticks to this floor. You have to apply so much pressure that you end up having to clean the floors on your hands and knees. 7. The recommended cleaning products leave marks, so you can see the traces of your cleaning motions. I've attached pictures. 8. Everything, I mean everything, leaves marks on this floor. We have tried to wear slippers: the soles leave imprints; we have tried to wear socks: the humidity of your feet through the socks leaves an imprint on the floor, which is puzzling because we both have dry feet. Then again, we don't want to walk sockless in our home, because this floor seems to be an attractor of filth and it's gross. We are clean people, we are always vacuuming, and yet, it's not dust that it gathers, it's somehow dirt. Our previous engineered wood floors were NEVER this dirty, and none of our habits changed. We also never walk in our house with shoes on. It is truly confusing and most of all, disheartening that this is the end result of a renovation project that was already taxing. Conclusion: these floors ALWAYS look bad. In fact, they look terrible. I have had engineered wood before, and not only were they sturdy floors that did not easily damage OR easily show any damage, but they were easily cleanable, and once cleaned, stayed that way. Regardless of what I do with these floors, there is no winning, and the only option here is to live in darkness because as soon as natural light hits it...it's over for you.Spare yourself. And at this point, if this brand was the only brand in the world that offered engineered wood, I would go with a cheap floating floor instead. Trust me, it would look 10 times better.
Worst product and client care ever, needless to say they don't even follow their own policies. Bought my hardwood floor a year ago from this manufacturer was on sale (should've been a trigger) I said I'll put it on the living room on my house till I have enough money saved to have a professional install it. A year goes by note (35 year warranty policy and boxes are still sealed) I get a professional to start installing he opens the first box and notices that some of the pieces were cut 1/8 of and inch to big or to small. He then goes to open another box and he says yeah this is definitely a manufacture problem(would leave a gap between each piece across the floor). The company tries to say it was do to climate change or humidity. I provide all the support the components of the home are all good and they are negligent and avoiding being liable saying that it was the conditions of the house. When the house has a humidifier that stays between 45-50 humidity and I even bought a wood tester for humidity and they were at 8.5. All in all STAY AWAY FROM ANY OF THEIR PRODUCT!!! I AM OUT $3K BUT unfortunate for me but you are aware now....
I absolutely love our Preverco floor. Unsurpassed quality, lengths and absolutely gorgeous color with so much care put into it. Maple cyrus v+ 5" mat. I also highly recommend their distributor in St Hilaire, Catherine at Olauva. Thanks for working with us to make this happen. Preverco will have ALL of our future sales and we will be sure to post a lot of photos in the coming months.
