We had these guys sand down and restain our hardwood floors, and they did absolutely amazing for us. We had the older orange-y floors of the early 2000s, and now they’re a beautiful dark brown. 10/10 recommend these guys.

They were quick to respond when we asked for a quote to replace our original (and unsalvageable) 1939 hardwood with new wood floors. The person who gave us the quote was super knowledgeable, and gave us different options to consider when we explained our budget and priorities. Never felt like we were being pressured, judged, or upsold.We were able to visit the showroom to pick out the exact type of flooring to best meet our needs, and Andrea kindly showed us a variety of options which matched our desire to preserve the character/spirit of the original wood flooring. She even let us borrow a sample from them to take home so we could see the sample in our home's environment/lighting, which we appreciated greatly.Spencer and Sam, who did the install, were super communicative and friendly. Because of the age of the house and nearly 100 years of settling, our subfloor needed a significant amount of prep work and leveling. Underfoot took care during the prep and the subsequent install to make sure the new floor was level and secure, and they did a fantastic job of it. We can't get over how quiet our new floors are--no more squeaking!We are incredibly happy with our new floors, and look forward to working with Underfoot again in the future when we remodel our kitchen.Photos feature our happy greyhound, who matches our lovely new white oak.
