We recently purchased laminate flooring from Western Carpet in Saskatoon. We are very unhappy with the service provided. We installed the laminate ourselves. My husband is a contractor and has done flooring installs hundreds of times. The flooring has scuff marks from simply moving furniture on it. Western Carpet One refused to stand behind the product they sold us. We will not be back.
Courtney and all the staff were very helpful and patient allowing us to pick the perfect flooring for our house. The installer completed the install on schedule and did a great job. We love our new floor!
Western Carpet just delivered an amazing result on our latest basement finish. They promised a one day install and they hit that timeline perfectly. The coordination from Abbey in sales to Brett in scheduling was seamless. Cyrus and his install crew showed up on time and the quality of the floor is tremendous. Today, I finally have the energy and the mindset to sit down and write a long-overdue review about this company.I contacted Western Carpet One in 2009 while building our first family home, then again in 2016 as our family had grown and we decided to build our dream home, and again most recently in December of 2025 when we made the decision to downsize.Over the years, our floors have seen real life. Kids playing mini sticks, drawing with Jiffy markers, chairs dragged across hardwood. Family and friends celebrating, the occasional spilled drink, dropped dish, or broken glass along with the general wear and tear that comes with a busy household.Only once did we experience carpet tracking after a couple of years. Western Carpet One immediately steered us in the right direction by having Mohawk come in and do proper testing before replacing it under warranty. This wasn’t a failure of the store or the installer—it was a simple manufacturing defect.We’ve also always been a cat family and have had visits from friends with dogs. Anyone with pets knows what they can do to flooring but that’s part of life. We either deal with it or replace it because our pets bring comfort and joy to our family.For the past 16 years, Justin and the Western Carpet One team have been part of our family’s journey. They’ve consistently taken the time to educate us, recommend products that fit our lifestyle, and help with minor repairs or replacements. Exactly what a great business should do.What we never expected from our flooring store began in 2023, when our youngest daughter was diagnosed with bone cancer and we had to live in Calgary for three months during her limb salvage surgery. While we were fortunate to have amazing neighbors checking on our animals, the stress of everything resulted in damage to some of our flooring.Being able to contact Western Carpet One from Calgary, trust them to access our home, and have the repairs completed before we returned was an enormous relief, one we truly would not have been able to handle at the time. They also attended our daughter’s fundraiser and have continued to support us through the sale of our dream home and the purchase of our next one with our flooring needs.When you find a company built on commitment and trust, one that shows up not just for the sale, but for the people behind it. I am so glad I called Western Carpet One and Courtney answered the phone!! While I was originally going with a different flooring company in Saskatoon…I am so grateful I made the choice to go with Western.Courtney did everything she could to make my project “almost” seamless. She was always very quick to respond, was very supportive and patient during the decision process for the tile and flooring selection…and managed the process from selection thru demo and install to final touch ups!! I would recommend Western and specifically Courtney again and again!!! The installation was incredible. Great attention to detail and amazing results.
