Reviews highlight helpful showroom guidance, competitive pricing, and installers who work efficiently and keep projects on schedule. Several customers note good communication and follow-up when minor issues arose. A few critical reviews cite installation quality concerns and cleanliness, including use of subcontractors and missed details. Overall ratings trend positive with many repeat and commercial clients, but expectations on install oversight and site cleanup should be discussed in advance.
Top Floors completed the initial installation of our new construction, which delayed our closing by two weeks. That work was then removed and replaced with 6" boards, only to require additional visits that further worsened the condition of the floors. I do not have confidence in Top Floors to continue reworking an installation that should have been completed correctly the first time. Would not recommend this company to anyone. There is much to add to your response. Why would anyone continue working with a contractor who has failed to correct the same issue three times? A reputable business stands behind its work. In this case, the quality of workmanship has failed not once, but on three separate occasions. If this were truly a manufacturer defect—rather than a refusal to take responsibility—why was the same allegedly “defective” material installed three times? This pattern reflects a lack of professionalism and accountability, with excuses offered in place of results. Under these circumstances, it is entirely reasonable for a customer to refuse further services.
This establishment is the absolute in Hampton Roads! They have all levels of pricing but only offer quality. Installers are amazing! Courteous, professional, and fast! Love this company and would highly recommend!
Top Floors has installed flooring in several areas of our church over the past 10 years. They have always worked with us to find the right flooring choice and installs are done with high quality workmanship. Our recent install they went above and beyond to complete the job within time constraints and make sure it was finished before the building was back in use again.
The team was great from researching carpet options, pricing and installation. Prices were competitive for our style of carpet. Customer service was great and they worked with our schedule easily. We did have some follow up needed but the install team was on top of it and out a day later. They were thorough and clean. Great customer service all around. Thanks Tom, Abby and team.
Things that surprised me:Top Floors used contractors. They don't have installers on staff. The person from Top Floor who I worked with did not review or come to the house once they started. They started to install the flooring on the slab without a vapor barrier (highly recommended by the flooring company). I had to request they add it. This was discussed before the order with the Top Floor representative. My home was left dirty. They ripped up large chunks of concrete when removing the old glue down floor and concrete dust is everywhere. (Photo Included)The concrete patch they used to fill in the large chunks of missing slab was splattered on my front door. (Photo Included)They broke several door stops and left door knob imprints in my wall. I had to negotiate to get $75 dollars off the bill so I could hire someone and fix the drywall and hardware.Multiple joints of the quarter round had huge gaps. It was obvious they either didn't have a miter saw or just decided to eye-ball it. They tried to fill in the gaps but it's sill pretty obvious. (Photo Included)The 3 entryways to my kitchen have three different transitions. (Photo Included)When I have to do some more flooring in another part of my home I will just buy the flooring elsewhere and hire contractors directly myself.
